What are Keloids?
Scars are a natural part of the healing process, serving as a reminder of past injuries or surgeries. However, there are certain types of scars that go beyond the usual appearance and characteristics. One such type is keloids.
Keloids are raised, thickened scars that extend beyond the boundaries of the original wound. Unlike normal scars, keloids do not regress over time and may continue to grow. They are typically smooth and shiny, with a pink, red, or purple coloration.
