Introduction to Milia and Its Occurrence in Infants, Children, and Adults

Milia, also known as milk spots, are small, white or yellowish bumps that commonly appear on the skin. These harmless cysts are often found in infants, but they can also affect children and adults. Milia occur when dead skin cells become trapped beneath the surface of the skin, forming small cysts. While milia can be a cosmetic concern, they rarely cause any discomfort or pain.
