Mindfulness involves focusing on present experiences, feelings and thoughts, thereby grounding individuals and reducing anxious ruminations about the past or future.

Practice mindfulness through methods such as meditation, yoga, or simple breathing exercises. By focusing on the present, we can better manage stress, reduce negative thinking, and improve mental clarity.

Alongside mindfulness, practice self-compassion. Self-compassion involves treating ourselves with kindness and understanding when we stumble or fall short, just as we would treat a friend. Remember, everyone is human, and everyone makes mistakes. Forgiving ourselves for our perceived failings can have significant benefits for our mental health.
